Warranty Policy​


Limited Warranty

(Applicable Within India Only)

At Hill Audio, we are committed to providing high-quality audio products that meet your expectations. To reinforce this commitment, we offer a One Year Limited Warranty on all Hill Audio products from the original date of purchase. This warranty is provided by SGN Overseas and covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.


Warranty Coverage & Eligibility

This warranty applies only to Hill Audio products purchased from authorized dealers or platforms within India.

  • The warranty is valid for the original end-use purchaser or a recipient of the product as a gift.

  • The warranty is non-transferable and does not extend the coverage period after repair or replacement.

  • International warranties are not supported. Products purchased outside India must be serviced through authorized Indian centers at the purchaser’s expense.


Warranty Does Not Cover

  • Purchases from unauthorized dealers.

  • Claims without a valid purchase invoice.

  • Any form of unauthorized repair or modification.

  • Refunds under warranty claims.

  • Accessories, unless reported as damaged within 24 hours of delivery.


Warranty Claim Process

To claim warranty service:

  1. Contact the dealer from whom you purchased the product.

  2. Submit a request online through Warranty Claim form.

Documents Required:

  • Invoice or bill of sale (copy required).

  • Customer details (name, phone/email, address).

  • Model and serial number (if applicable).

  • Name of the authorized dealer/platform.

  • Issue description and product setup/configuration.

⚠️ Do not send any product without prior written authorization.


Shipping & Service Instructions

  • Products must be sent to authorized service centers only.

  • Carefully pack the item using original packaging or secure material (e.g., bubble wrap).

  • Include all accessories and invoice copy.

  • Use reliable courier services with tracking.

  • Retain your service request number and receipt.

SGN Overseas is not responsible for transit damage or loss.


Product Collection After Service

  • Products will only be returned upon presenting the original receipt or acknowledgment slip.

  • In case of lost proof, an indemnity bond and valid ID may be required.

  • Service centers may deny delivery if ownership cannot be established.


Products Purchased from E-Commerce Platforms

If purchased via platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Tata Cliq, etc.:

  • Customers are encouraged to first reach out to the respective platform.

  • If unresolved, contact Hill Audio directly.

  • For warranty service, you must ship the product to our address at your own cost. Return shipping is covered by us.

👉 Note: Repair/replacement is allowed only once per product.


Ineligible for Repair/Service

  • Damage reported after 24 hours of delivery.

  • Damage caused by mishandling or improper use.

  • Accessories reported as damaged after 24 hours.


Post-Sale Service Timeline

We aim to resolve your service requests within 10–12 working days.

  • Request Submission: Response within 1 business day.

  • Inspection: 2–3 working days upon receiving the product.

  • Communication: You will be updated at every stage.


Refund & Replacement Policy

Refunds are not applicable in the following cases:

  • Delays due to natural calamities, logistics issues, or customer unavailability.

  • Physical or electrical damage not reported within 24 hours.

  • Subjective dissatisfaction (e.g., look or sound quality) if the product is functioning properly.

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty provided herein does not cover the following circumstances:

  1. Lack of Valid Proof of Purchase
    Any warranty claim not accompanied by the original invoice or bill of sale from an authorised SGN dealer.

  2. Physical or Accidental Damage
    Damages arising from:

    • Liquid damage due to negligence

    • Physical breakage or mishandling

    • Natural calamities or acts of God

    • Improper usage or failure to follow the instructions in the owner’s manual or user guide

    • Any condition not resulting from a manufacturing defect in material or workmanship

  3. Cosmetic Damage and Tampering
    Includes deterioration or damage to accessories, decorative parts, or external surfaces as determined by SGN.

  4. Shipping Damage or Loss
    Any damage or loss occurring during transportation to or from SGN or any authorised service center. Claims related to shipping must be made with the carrier directly.

  5. Wear and Tear
    Natural deterioration of consumable parts such as batteries, buttons, ear pads/cushions, connectors, etc.

  6. Third-Party Products
    Any damage arising from the use of accessories or products not authorised by SGN.

  7. Improper Installation or Use
    Damage caused due to:

    • Improper installation

    • Power fluctuations

    • Use with incompatible devices

    • Environmental conditions outside SGN’s recommendations

    • Signal interference or improper grounding

  8. Loss or Theft
    Lost or stolen products are not covered under warranty.

  9. Excluded Accessories
    Charging cables, Aux cables, and power adaptors are not covered under the standard warranty policy.

  10. Product Alteration
    Warranty is void if the product has been modified or if the serial number is missing, altered, or illegible.
  11. Unauthorised Repairs
    Any repairs conducted by individuals or service centers not authorised by SGN will void the warranty. All such repairs are done at the purchaser’s sole risk and expense.

  12. Installation & Setup
    Costs related to installation, removal, setup, or adjustments are not covered.

  13. Seller Misrepresentation
    Warranty claims based on false representation by the seller will not be entertained.

  14. Performance Issues Due to Installation
    Issues arising from installation-related variables such as poor signal quality or electrical supply are not covered.


Purchaser Responsibilities

  • Product Understanding
    It is the purchaser’s responsibility to read and understand the Owner’s Manual, User Guide, or Quick Start Guide thoroughly, including details on installation, operation, safety, and maintenance.

  • Proof of Purchase
    The original purchase invoice or bill is required to claim warranty services. Without it, service will be treated as out of warranty and charged accordingly.

  • Data Backup
    SGN is not responsible for loss of data, software, or other personal information during service. The product may be reset to factory settings during repair.


Force Majeure

SGN or its authorised service centers are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, strikes, or government actions.


Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law:

  • All implied warranties, including those of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are excluded.

  • SGN is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including data loss, lost profits, or inability to use the product.

  • Where implied warranties cannot be excluded, they are limited to the duration of the express warranty.


Governing Law and Arbitration

  • This warranty is governed by the laws of India.

  • The courts of Panipat, Haryana shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

  • Any disputes will be resolved through arbitration under the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996, conducted in English at Panipat by a sole arbitrator appointed by SGN. The arbitrator’s decision will be final and binding.


Out-of-Warranty Services

For services outside the warranty scope:

  1. Charges
    All repair, replacement, transportation, and insurance costs are to be borne by the customer.

  2. Service Fee
    Diagnostic or inspection fees will apply even if no repair is performed.

  3. Cost Estimate
    An initial cost estimate will be provided for approval. If the final repair cost exceeds this estimate, the customer will be informed for consent. If declined, the product will be returned “as is”, and diagnostic charges will still apply.

  4. Cancellation
    Once repair begins, the service cannot be cancelled or withdrawn.

  5. Spare Parts
    SGN may use new or refurbished parts. Replaced components will be retained by the Service Center.

  6. Availability
    Repairs depend on the availability of spare parts. Imported parts may require additional transit time.

  7. Service Denial
    SGN reserves the right to refuse service if:

    • The product is over 3 years old

    • The damage is extensive or irreparable

    • The product was opened or modified by an unauthorised person

    • The customer sourced parts from elsewhere

  8. Beyond Repair
    Products deemed unrepairable will be returned to the customer without liability.

  9. Recurrent Failure
    If the same issue recurs within 90 days, labour charges will be waived.

  10. Part Warranty
    Replaced parts come with a 60-day warranty. Misuse or damage from external factors will void this.

  11. Product Collection
    Products must be collected within 15 days of service completion or estimate rejection.

  12. Abandonment
    Items not collected within 90 days will be considered abandoned and disposed of per environmental norms.

  13. Product Return
    Product will be handed over upon full payment and presentation of the original service job sheet. Return shipping charges apply.

  14. Jurisdiction
    All disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts where the service center is located.

  15. Transport Charges
    Customers are responsible for all transportation costs for out-of-warranty products.
